    Troubleshooting Server License problems

    Determining reason of error

    At certain scenarios authorization server may return you an error. To find a possible reason and solution quickly, follow information provided by the error window, determine error code and message attached to it then locate relevant code error solution below.

    List of authorization system errors and possible solutions

    1. Cannot connect to Auth Server - first connect
      • Make sure your subscription is active (forgot to renew?)
      • Verify validity of IPs provided within license data on License Manager page and correct if necessary
      • Make sure necessary ports are opened for your server, see pre-requirements page
    2. Failed to connect to any of auth servers - reconnect
      • Check network stability
      • Verify validity of IPs provided within license data on License Manager page and correct if necessary
      • Make sure necessary ports are opened for your server, see pre-requirements page
    3. Time Check Failed
      • Synchronize System (Windows) time with Internet time, see pre-requirements page for instructions
    4. Invalid Protocol Version
      • Use of invalid or unsupported version Game Server application, contact support
    5. Internal Server Error
    6. Unknown Game Server version
      • Use of invalid or unsupported version Game Server application, contact support
    7. Game Server signature is invalid
      • Use of invalid or unsupported version Game Server application, contact support
    8. IP Address or HWID not found
      • IP provided in license details on License Manager page is wrong or changed since last successful license activation. Update the IP and process new license activation. If IP is correct then HWID of your machine changed. This case requires another license activation as well
    9. Customer data does not exist
    10. License has been banned
    11. License has been disabled from use
    12. Maximum Limit of running Game Server instances has been reached
      • Contact support to ask for possible limit increase, default limit is set to 28
    13. License has not been activated properly
      • There was problem obtaining necessary data to complete activation process, contact support
    14. Unknown License Level
    15. Actual License Level is not enough to run this version of Game Server
      • Your license type is not allowed to run this version of server applications, contact support and ask about upgrade options
    16. License expired
    17. License Key Check Failed
      • License key changed in database (possibly due to changes performed in License Manager) while Game Servers were operational
    18. Activation Time is over
      • Time of 90 seconds to complete activation process passed. Re-run Game Server and try again
    19. Invalid Activation Key
      • Entered activation key format is not valid. Verify it with key displayed on License Manager that is assigned to license you try to activate. Make sure there are no leading or trailing spaces.
    20. Activation Key Not found
      • Verify the entered key with key displayed on License Manager that is assigned to license you try to activate. Make sure there are no leading or trailing spaces.
    21. This Activation Key cannot be used for Activation
      • Activation key is not usable for activation. To reactivate key use Clear Activation Status button of related license on License Manager page. Change of license data, if necessary, will also reactivate the license activation key
    22. Activation Key is not assigned to any License
      • Attempt of use of key that is not assigned to any license, contact support
    23. Activation Key is assigned to another IP Address
      • Activation key assigned to license of specific IP can be only used on server machine identified with that IP address
    24. Unknown Connect Server version
      • Use of invalid or unsupported version Game Server application, contact support
    25. Connect Server signature is invalid
      • Use of invalid or unsupported version Game Server application, contact support
    26. Please use IGC.GameServer to activate this copy of software
      • No local license data found, use Game Server application and follow relevant instructions to process the license activation
    27. Activation key is not yet ready for activation
      • Activation key is displayed and ready for activation after 3 minutes from time of last save of license data or use of Reset Key button. Refresh the license manager page after a while and check again.
    28. Activation system is not available at this time
      • License activation system is temporary disabled or under maintenance. Usually there is earlier notice before it happens.
    29. Game Server version expired
      • The version of Game Server expired and cannot be run anymore. That usually applied to versions market with T (test) or vulnerable ones we decided to shut down. Update your server with newer updates.
    30. Connect Server version expired
      • The version of Connect Server expired and cannot be run anymore. That usually applied to versions market with T (test) or vulnerable ones we decided to shut down. Update your server with newer updates.
    31. Actual Season Pass Level is not enough to run this version
      • SeasonPass level (AKA License Level) must be upgraded to be able to run server files version (season) that thrown the message. It can be done from License Manager
